Diversity, Equity and Inclusion have become buzzwords globally, particularly given the impact of globalization and the need and drive for a more inclusive global culture. This course in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion introduces the learner to important terms and concepts, various perspectives on the topics and practical tools for managing Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace.
Part 1 pertains to Diversity and Inclusion as a Journey. This will entail a presentation on understanding, being open to, and valuing Diversity and Inclusion.
- Diversity and inclusion at a personal level (assumptions, prejudices, values and beliefs).
- Diversity and inclusion at the inter-personal level (evaluation of impacts of behaviour on others).
- Diversity and inclusion at the organisational level (auditing of policies, practices, procedures, and organisational culture).
- The journey from awareness to understanding and appreciation.
